Ukrainian-Latvian drone-company establishes presence in Trondheim and joins NORDSEC

NORDSEC Defence and Security Cluster welcomes DK NEJET as a new member. The Ukrainian-Latvian drone company has recently established its presence in Trondheim, further anchoring its activities in Norway and the Nordic defence ecosystem.

DK NEJET develops advanced drone systems with a focus on swarm intelligence and autonomous coordination, enabling a single operator to manage multiple interconnected units. The company works at the intersection of autonomous systems and software-driven control architectures, with applications aimed at improving responsiveness, scalability, and operational precision.

Engagement in Trondheim’s defence ecosystem

Prior to establishing itself locally, DK NEJET has been actively involved in key industry gatherings in Trondheim. The company participated in both the Dark Drones demonstration event and the Norwegian-Ukrainian Defence and Dual-Use Meet-up.

Dark Drones showcased next-generation drone capabilities across multiple domains, with contributions from several international technology providers. The meet-up focused on strengthening cooperation between Norwegian and Ukrainian companies, positioning Trondheim as an emerging hub for collaboration in this field.

Strengthening presence in Norway

Through its membership in NORDSEC, DK NEJET aims to consolidate its position in Norway and engage more closely with relevant industry and research environments.

He emphasizes the importance of Norway as a strategic environment for collaboration and development within autonomous and unmanned systems.

Engaging with industry and research partners in Norway

DK NEJET intends to take an active role in the cluster, contributing through presentations, panel discussions, and participation in joint initiatives.

“We look forward to engaging with the cluster community, sharing insights, and contributing to dialogue and initiatives that support innovation and cooperation in the defence sector,” says Spila.

 With DK NEJET onboard, NORDSEC continues to strengthen its position as a platform for companies developing advanced autonomous and drone-based defence technologies, while Trondheim’s role as a Nordic meeting point for dual-use innovation is further reinforced.
