NORDSEC is pleased to welcome Oleksiy Gavrysh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway, to Forsvarskonferansen – Nordic Defence and Security Conference.

Appointed Ambassador to Norway in April 2025, Gavrysh brings more than 20 years of experience in energy, financial and strategic management. His career includes senior positions within Ukraine’s energy sector and experience as an advisor to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

At Forsvarskonferansen, Ambassador Gavrysh will participate in the session The Future of Ukraine Is Our Future, addressing Ukraine’s future and its significance for European and Nordic security.

Ukraine’s ability to defend itself and rebuild its society and economy is closely connected to the future of European security. The war has also highlighted the importance of resilient supply chains, defence production, energy security and close cooperation between governments and industry.

Ambassador Gavrysh will bring a Ukrainian perspective to these challenges and to the continued importance of international support for Ukraine.
