Peter Frølich, Chair of Norwegian Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence, and Member of Parliament for the Conservative Party, has been confirmed as a speaker at Forsvarskonferansen – Nordic Defence and Security Conference.
Frølich is one of Norway’s most prominent political voices on defence, preparedness and security policy, and has been actively engaged in issues related to NATO cooperation, support for Ukraine and strengthening Norwegian defence capabilities.
He is also the founder and former Chair of the Board of Fritt Ukraina, a Norwegian organization that raises funds for equipment delivered directly to Ukrainian military units and civil defence organizations. Today, Fritt Ukraina has grown into one of Europe’s largest civilian support initiatives for Ukraine.
At Forsvarskonferansen, Frølich will share perspectives on the evolving security landscape in Northern Europe, geopolitical developments and the importance of closer cooperation between defence, industry and public authorities.
– We are very pleased to welcome Peter Frølich to Forsvarskonferansen. He brings deep political insight and extensive experience from defence and foreign affairs policy, says Ebbe Deraas, Head of Forsvarskonferansen.
Frølich has served as a Member of Parliament for Hordaland since 2013 and previously chaired the Parliament’s Standing Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs. Educated as a lawyer, he also has a background from the Norwegian Armed Forces and has worked extensively with defence, security and preparedness policy throughout his political career.
