Apurgo is a leader in water management and Legionella protection, with several hundred systems delivered across Norway. The Trondheim-based company has now joined NORDSEC to contribute to the resilience of critical infrastructure and help ensure access to clean water during crises.
During extended power outages, natural disasters, war and other crises, reliable access to clean water is essential. Legionella can develop in water systems within days, potentially compromising drinking water and forcing critical facilities such as military installations, hospitals and shelters to shut down.
For organisations responsible for critical infrastructure, maintaining water quality is therefore an important part of operational readiness.
“Apurgo has already delivered several systems securing good water quality for Forsvarsbygg. By joining NORDSEC, we want to ensure that society’s most vital functions always have access to clean water,” says Petter Lieth, CCO at Apurgo.

Apurgo’s technology enables continuous water purification and treatment on site, also during power or internet outages. Automated monitoring and treatment reduce the need for routine manual follow-up, allowing operational personnel to focus on other critical tasks.
The company’s chemical-free solution for Legionella protection and water treatment was developed in collaboration with NTNU and SINTEF and is manufactured in Trondheim.
Stagnant water in unoccupied buildings, dead-end pipes and heat transfer between cold and hot water are among the common risk factors for Legionella. Apurgo’s systems help organisations maintain control of water quality and keep critical infrastructure operational when capacity is under pressure.

For NORDSEC, Apurgo brings expertise in an essential but often overlooked part of societal resilience: water infrastructure.
