New member: Basol Norge AS

Basol Norge AS has joined NORDSEC Nordic Defence and Security Cluster, strengthening the cluster’s network of suppliers and technology companies supporting the Nordic defence and security sector.

Founded in Kristiansand in the 1970s, Basol Norge AS is a supplier of lubricants, chemicals, sprays and environmental protection solutions, serving customers across the Nordic region. The company operates a warehouse and showroom in Sørlandsparken and has built extensive expertise in chemicals and cleaning products, including several proprietary products developed to meet high environmental standards.

Basol is an authorized Shell distributor and a major supplier of products from brands including Total, Fuchs, Omega and Castrol. The company also holds the Nordic agency for Orapi, a leading British manufacturer of specialty chemicals and consumables for paint and surface treatment workshops.

In addition to serving industrial customers, Basol is an established supplier to the defence sector, delivering products and solutions tailored to demanding operational environments. Several of the company’s NATO-approved products are already in use by the Swedish and French armed forces, while selected lubrication and chemical solutions are also supplied to French and German weapons manufacturers.

“We are very pleased to welcome Basol Norge AS to NORDSEC. The company brings decades of experience within industrial chemicals, lubricants and environmental solutions, as well as strong competence from supplying demanding industries and defence-related customers. This is expertise that will be highly valuable for both the cluster and our members,” says Torbjørn Lundberg.

By actively engaging in the cluster, we aim to forge partnerships that promote shared growth and strengthen the Nordic defence ecosystem,” says Jørgen Uleberg.

“We believe dialogue and collaboration deliver better results than working alone, and we will contribute practical know-how, innovative solutions and a cooperative mindset to enhance the network’s collective capabilities,” he adds.

NORDSEC Defence and Security Cluster connects companies, research environments and public stakeholders working to strengthen Nordic defence capabilities and security-related innovation.
