A new Norwegian company developing modular training infrastructure for defence, security and emergency response has joined NORDSEC.

Reconfig Systems AS delivers a patented modular training building where internal walls can be reconfigured in minutes. The concept allows one facility to become many, enabling continuous and realistic scenario training without the need for new construction.

Instead of investing in multiple static buildings, the company offers a reusable platform that scales with operational needs. The company describes the system as a way to remove infrastructure constraints from training by allowing users to reshape the building to fit each scenario rather than adapting training to fixed facilities.

Layouts can be adjusted to increase complexity, introduce uncertainty and improve decision-making under pressure, requirements that are increasingly central to modern defence, security and emergency preparedness training.

– We aim to use the NORDSEC Cluster membership to accelerate development and market access for our modular training systems. We are looking to connect with end users, relevant test environments and partners with complementary technologies, says Andreas Aalstad Nilsen, CEO and founder, Reconfig Systems AS.

The company highlights how the solution enables endless room layouts without new construction, while providing lower lifecycle cost compared to traditional fixed facilities. According to Reconfig Systems, the ability to create realistic and repeatable scenarios also contributes to higher training effect and more operationally relevant exercises.

The modular system is designed for rapid deployment on any flat surface and is positioned as a configurable capability where physical training environments can continuously adapt to changing operational requirements rather than remain fixed assets.
