Major General Frode Kristoffersen to speak at Forsvarskonferansen

Major General Frode Arnfinn Kristoffersen will be a speaker at the upcoming Forsvarskonferansen – Nordic Defence and Security Conference.

He currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) at Allied Joint Force Command Norfolk in the United States, and has more than 30 years of service in the Norwegian Armed Forces and NATO structures.

Commissioned in 1994, Kristoffersen has extensive operational experience from special operations and defence intelligence. His deployments include Bosnia with SFOR and multiple tours in Afghanistan with Forsvarets Spesialkommando (FSK) and ISAF, where he supported counter-terrorism operations and mentored Afghan special units.

He has held senior leadership roles including Commander of the Norwegian Special Operations Regiment (FSK), Chief of Staff of the Norwegian Special Operations Command, and senior positions within Norwegian defence intelligence and joint operations.

Kristoffersen is a graduate of both the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College and the U.S. Army War College, and is co-author of the books "Etterretning - oppdragene, menneskene og faget" (Intelligence 2022) and "Beredt - forsvarsevne og motstandskraft" (Readiness 2025).

He has been awarded several high-level decorations for service and operational leadership, including the St. Olav’s Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and the U.S. Navy Presidential Unit Citation.
