The Leader of Norway’s Conservative Party will bring her extensive experience from defence and foreign policy to Forsvarskonferansen – Nordic Defence and Security Conference.
Ine Eriksen Søreide, Leader of the Conservative Party (Høyre), is confirmed as a speaker at the Defence Conference – Nordic Defence and Security Conference, taking place at Scandic Hell on 22–23 September.
Søreide has extensive experience from Norwegian security, defence and foreign policy. She served as Minister of Defence from 2013 to 2017 and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2017 to 2021. She has also chaired the Norwegian Parliament’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence on two occasions.
At the conference, Søreide will participate in the session “The Future of Ukraine Is Our Future – A Political Perspective”.
The session will address the political and strategic implications of the war in Ukraine and what the country’s future means for European security, Norway and its allies. Søreide will contribute perspectives from her extensive experience at the highest levels of Norwegian defence and foreign policy.
Her participation adds a strong political dimension to a conference bringing together decision-makers, defence leaders, industry representatives and experts to discuss the changing security environment and the future of Nordic defence and security.
