Geelmuyden Kiese, part of Paritee, brings global communications capabilities into the defence sector

Geelmuyden Kiese AS has joined the NORDSEC Nordic Defence and Security Cluster, strengthening the cluster’s expertise within strategic communication, public affairs and international stakeholder engagement.

The Oslo-based communications agency, as part of Paritee, services clients related to the defense sector in 12 countries and 16 cities globally. Now the company becomes part of the growing Nordic ecosystem for defence and security suppliers and knowledge partners. Geelmuyden Kiese brings experience across strategic communication, governmental affairs, advisory related to defense tender processes, crisis communication, insight and analysis, financial communication, brand building, public relations, advertising, content marketing, and both digital and physical event formats.

The company is represented in the NORDSEC-membership application by Associate Partner Øystein Bogen and commercial director/strategic advisor Bjørn Richard Johansen.

“We are looking forward to joining NORDSEC and building stronger networks within the defence and security ecosystem,” says Øystein Bogen, Associate Partner at Geelmuyden Kiese.

“This gives us a valuable opportunity to deepen our understanding of the sector and its key actors, while contributing with our communication expertise.”

"Additionally, through the network we can offer access to broader strategic expertise, including Gjermund Eide, Senior Advisor at Paritee, and colleagues from Geelmuyden Kiese’s Norwegian sister company, Kruse Larsen here in Norway."

Gjermund Eide served as military advisor to Jens Stoltenberg throughout his tenure as NATO Secretary General from 2014 to 2024, bringing extensive experience in security, defense, and geopolitical affairs.

Geelmuyden Kiese also signals a strong ambition to contribute actively to cluster collaboration. This includes facilitating networking opportunities, supporting cross-border business development, contributing to event activities, and providing access to its broader international communications network spanning more than 30 countries through its larger network of affiliated parent company to Paritee.

“We hope to contribute by opening our international network and creating new business opportunities across borders, as well as supporting events and bringing in expertise from our global network of communications professionals,” Bogen adds.

According to the application, this international reach is expected to create additional value for cluster members through knowledge sharing and connections beyond the Nordic region.

The development further strengthens the Nordic defence and security ecosystem, where communication, technology, and industry stakeholders collaborate to build resilience and capability.
