Drone technology company Delta-Ray has joined the NORDSEC Defence and Security Cluster. The company is developing concepts for drone swarms and scalable production models that enable large numbers of drones to be manufactured in a short time when needed.
– We want to be part of a broader professional network and collaborate with other companies in the defence and security sector. NORDSEC is a valuable arena for building partnerships and exploring new opportunities, says Hans Einar Jakobsen, CEO of Delta-Ray.
Aiming to enable rapid drone production
Delta-Ray is working on solutions for producing drone swarms, with a focus on flexible manufacturing. A key part of the concept is to leverage existing industrial production facilities that can quickly shift to drone manufacturing when demand arises.
By using established manufacturing environments, the company aims to reduce the time from development to large-scale production and enable the delivery of significant volumes of drones within a short timeframe.

Contributing expertise in prototyping and industrialization
Through its membership in NORDSEC, Delta-Ray hopes to connect with partners and contribute expertise related to prototyping, testing, and industrialization of new technologies.
– Our work sits at the intersection of development and production. Through the cluster we hope both to share experience and to find partners who can help bring new solutions to market, Jakobsen says.
NORDSEC Defence and Security Cluster brings together suppliers to the defence and security sector and facilitates collaboration on technology development, innovation, and market opportunities.
