Trondheim-based DAXAP has joined NORDSEC Nordic Defence and Security Cluster, bringing expertise in secure software development, resilient digital infrastructure and cybersecurity compliance to the cluster ecosystem.

Founded on a “secure-by-design” philosophy, DAXAP develops and maintains scalable digital solutions for both public and private sector clients. The company is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and specializes in secure communications, custom software development and digital infrastructure designed to meet high security and compliance requirements.

DAXAP combines software engineering expertise with operational insight from the defence sector. The company was founded by former Air Force officer Kubilay Kartal, and several members of the team and board have military backgrounds and experience with defence-related operational environments.

– DAXAP strengthens the cluster with deep competence in secure software architecture, cybersecurity and resilient digital systems. Their combination of operational understanding and agile technology development is highly relevant for both defence and dual-use innovation initiatives across the Nordic region, says Tevje Ravn Eggan, cluster lead at NORDSEC Nordic Defence and Security Cluster.

Through the membership, DAXAP aims to collaborate with defence contractors, research institutions and security authorities on the development of secure software solutions for total defence and crisis management. The company also wants to position its communication platforms and software capabilities within the Nordic defence supply chain.

– We see NORDSEC as an important arena for building partnerships, contributing to collaborative innovation projects and strengthening Nordic resilience through secure technology. We look forward to sharing both technical expertise and operational insight with the cluster community, says Kubilay Kartal, CEO of DAXAP.

DAXAP also highlights its ambition to contribute with co-investment capability and rapid software execution for joint initiatives and dual-use innovation projects within the cluster.
