Atea has entered into a new partnership with NORDSEC – Nordic Defence and Security Cluster. With a strong technology environment in Trondheim, Atea will contribute expertise in cybersecurity, secure digital infrastructure and resilience.
Cybersecurity and digital resilience are becoming increasingly important across the defence and security sector. The partnership provides an arena for sharing knowledge and developing cooperation with companies, research institutions and public-sector organisations across the ecosystem.
“Security and resilience require cooperation across companies, disciplines and sectors. NORDSEC brings together a relevant ecosystem of industry, technology, research and public-sector organisations, providing us with an arena for sharing knowledge, building relationships and developing new forms of cooperation,” says Trond A. Henriksen, Business Development Manager at Atea.
Atea works across the full lifecycle of digital infrastructure, including cybersecurity, networks, cloud, data centres, IT/OT and incident response. The company also has experience delivering technology and advisory services to the Norwegian Armed Forces and other critical organisations.

Atea will also be present at Forsvarskonferansen – Nordic Defence and Security Conference at Scandic Hell on 22–23 September, where participants can meet the Atea team and learn more about their expertise and solutions for cybersecurity and digital resilience.
As part of the partnership, Atea is also bringing The Esc Room to Trondheim.
Inside a 40-foot container, participants experience a simulated cyberattack inspired by real-world incidents. Teams must collaborate, communicate and make decisions under pressure while dealing with an evolving cyber crisis.
The one-hour simulation is followed by an evaluation with security experts, giving participants the opportunity to assess how their decisions affected the situation and what they can learn for their own preparedness.
The Esc Room is designed for management teams, decision-makers, IT and security teams.
“The Esc Room gives participants an opportunity to test how they actually respond when a cyberattack happens – in a safe and controlled environment,” says Henriksen.
The partnership between Atea and NORDSEC will create opportunities for further knowledge sharing and cooperation around cybersecurity, digital resilience and preparedness.
